The beach is also called “Praia da Batangueira”. This beautiful corner of the municipality is 44 km (27 miles) far from the Historic Center towards Rio de Janeiro by the BR-101.
It has a greenish sea and is great for those who want to relax enjoying the landscape.
Next door is Vila Residencial de Mambucaba, which has a beach with much bigger waves and is another option for a walk on site. Coqueiro beach has several kiosks where you can enjoy portions and cold drinks.
